Marriage From The Beginning

It's been a while since I have wrote on my blog, my life has changed quite a bit. God has blessed our union  with a precious baby boy, and he is so adorable to say the least. We are being fruitful and multiplying.

 As we know a baby requires if not all, most of your attention for the first few months. So marriage takes a new adventure, parenthood. The focus on each other has now shifted to taking care of your new bundle of joy.  On top of that, my hormones had me on a roller coaster of emotions and sometimes I  didn't know if I should laugh or cry, I think I did both to be honest. Through it all God blessed me with someone that helped me with the baby day and night, kept me company while I looked a mess from head to toe, made me a priority unselfishly, and told me over and over again how beautiful I was and how great of a job I was doing as a mother. I know the bible says that God made a help meet for Adam, but I feel like he made a help meet for Eve, I thank God for my husband and that he is a man after God's own heart. I know my husband loves and honors God, because he loves and  honors me.

Ephesians 5:28 - So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

For the next month or so I want to focus on Marriage. I want to honor marriage through the word of God, marriage quotes, and testimonials by married couples. I hope you enjoy what you read, I hope it encourages you on days you want to give up and I hope you will pray with me for what God has ordained from the very beginning. 

Marriage is special to God, and I hope you know that your marriage is special too!

Genesis Chapter 2

¹⁸ And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

¹⁹ And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought [them] unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that [was] the name thereof.

²⁰ And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

²¹ And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

²² And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

²³ And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

²⁴ Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

²⁵ And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
